Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon cut into ½-inch slices
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 bay leaves
  •  tablespoons brown sugar divided
  • 6 bone-in blade-cut, 1-inch thick pork chops about 8-ounces each.
  • Use pork steaks if blade-cut pork chops aren’t available.
  • 3 yellow onions halved and sliced into ½-inch half-moons
  • ¼ cup water plus 2 tablespoons
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley leaves
