Bacon & Cheese Slow Cooked Bread…..
Jumped on the slow cooker 2 ingredient bread dough wagon and made this Cheese & bacon one. I just mixed some parsley flakes and garlic powder through the bacon pieces before topping the dough. Was really good!
Ingredients:
3 cups SR flour
2 cups Natural Greek yoghurt
1/2 – 3/4 cup Bacon pieces
1/2 – 3/4 cup Grated tasty cheese
Garlic powder
Dried parsley flakes
Method:
Mix the bacon pieces, parsley and garlic powder together and mix to combine. Set aside
Mix the yoghurt and the flour together until it forms a dough that holds. When it starts to come together, I turn onto a floured board and knead for a few minutes until all flour is well incorporated and it’s a smooth dough
Line the slow cooker with a piece of baking paper, and pop the dough in.
Top with bacon mix and grated cheese, put the lid on with a tea towel under the lid to absorb any moisture, and set to low. Cook for 2.5 hours.
Remove and put under a grill to brown the top slightly. You don’t have to do this step, it just makes it crispier on top. Enjoy.
